Class Registration:

​

1. To register please ask LG Board member to add you to School chat

2. You will need to provide kid's name, age and parent/guardian email 

 

Class Details:

​

1. Nepali class will meet in person once a month and the remaining weeks of the month class will be virtually conducted

2. The in-Person class will be held on the 3rd week of each month except for Fiirst Day of school.

3. First Day of School Program:

   • Location: Niles-Maine District Library (Commons Meeting Room A&B)

   • Date/Time: 12th March, 2023 ,2pm to 4pm

4. Virtual Class will be held 3 times a month (Sunday each week when not meeting in-person)

5. In-Person Class Details:

   • In-person classes will be held from 2pm to 3 pm.

   • Location: Schaumburg library (16th April)

   • Kids can hang around and play with other kids between 3 pm to 4pm in the library. This is optional.

   • No parents will be allowed inside the class when the Nepali class is in session

   • Kids can bring snacks from home if they want. This is optional

6. Virtual Class Detail:

   • Zoom Class, time: 5 pm to 6 pm

   • Kids need to be in a quiet place during the class.

   • Video needs to be on all the time during class 

   • Kids need to sit with their course material next to them while attending the class. Minimize time lost due to searching for Nepali school material during class

First Day of School:

​

• 12th March 2023 is the first day of school. 

• On the first day, the program will run for 2 hours.

• The Opening Day program is filled with fun and educational materials. For Grownups we have different speakers talking about the importance of Nepali school and teaching Nepali culture to kids. We will also talk about What to  expect from the Spring Session and What is expected from parents/guardians.

• For kids, we have storytelling, art, craft and class material distribution.

• The inauguration ceremony is also part of the program.
